What does the Monitor snapshot check?
An instant snapshot of your website availability and speed — no waiting, no installation.
-
HTTP status check2xx (OK), 3xx (redirect), 4xx (client error), 5xx (server error) — instant status indication.
-
Timing waterfallDNS lookup -> TCP connect -> SSL handshake -> TTFB -> total time. See exactly where the site slows down.
-
Server identificationIP address, server type (Apache/Nginx/Cloudflare), Content-Type, page size.
-
SSL certificate healthIssuer, days to expiration, TLS version. Warning well before expiration.
-
Composite speed score0-100 value = weighted average of HTTP status + speed + SSL. Simple benchmarking.

FAQ about Monitor
How often should I run Monitor?
Monitor offers two modes: (1) one-off snapshot — whenever you want to check your site's performance. (2) Continuous Uptime Monitor — automatic check every 5 minutes with email alert on outage. Enable the second mode in your dashboard (1 credit/day/site).
What is a good TTFB?
Under 200 ms = excellent. 200-500 ms = good. 500-1000 ms = room to improve (database queries, caching). Over 1 second = serious issue.
Why is my DNS lookup slow?
Slow DNS = your DNS provider has a distant nameserver or is overloaded. Recommendation: try Cloudflare DNS or AWS Route 53 — typically under 50 ms globally.
Does it work behind a CDN (Cloudflare, Fastly)?
Yes, Monitor measures what a real visitor gets — including CDN cache hits. If your site runs through Cloudflare, you see edge server speed, not origin.
What if the site requires login?
Monitor checks publicly accessible URLs. If your site returns
401 Unauthorized, Monitor records and reports it. For auth-protected pages we plan custom checks in the future.Try for free
